By Terrence Mawawa| English Premiership Giants Liverpool are keen to sign Zimbabwe Warriors utility player Marvellous Nakamba, it has emerged.
An African Football Magazine has reported the Reds are eager to sign the star player.
“Liverpool are leading the race to sign 25-year Zimbabwe Warriors star midfielder Marvelous Nakamba.
The Club Brugge man is seen as a potential replacement for Emre Can. Newcastle United are also preparing a bid for Nakamba but the Zimbabwean has publicly stated he would prefer a move to Anfield,” reported the magazine.
Nakamba is a box to box midfielder who can also knock the ball around with aplomb.
If the deal succeeds, Nakamba will be the second player to don the Liverpool jersey after legendary goalkeeper Bruce ‘ the Jungleman’ Grobbelar.
“Nakamba is a disciplined and talented young player who has the potential to perform well in the English Premiership,” said Barry Chimombe, a member of the Liverpool Supporters Association in Zimbabwe.
