1. Please confirm pastor Evan,
   Only tsvangirai councillor s must not be voted back, what about the ZPF councillor s in the same said chamber?
   Do you mean all MDC councillor in the current chamber ? I can name some very good ones
   Are you aware that Chombo arranged the upgrade of water works with mahachi, ( then town clerk) and passed it through a special appointed council ( between the elected councils of 2008 being dissolved and the appointment of the 2013 council)
   Are you also aware that the details of this national project ( amoungst others with the Chinese) have not been made availible to council as of yet) example… the first two containers that arrived had state of art 4×4 vehicles for the management.
   Finally, eventually the current council has managed to prove the corruption ( another issue) and suspend the top four mangers in HCC, with govt, kicking and fighting to stop this all the way… taken two years,,,
   In the last special council meetings, alderman .. ZPF and cllr maseko ZPF desperately tried to delay proceedings again….

3. Well said. Politics aside, you don’t need a rocket scientist to tell you that Hre city council is rotten with corruption to the extent that the mayor advises residents that it’s own water is unsafe. I’m with Mawarire on this one until residents get safe and clean water.

4. Harare city council is corrupt to the core. Sometime back they received a loan to constract a road link between Highglen and a housing project being managed by a certain bank, almost a year down the line the road has not been completed. The question is what happened to that money? This is just one of so many cases of corruption and mismanagement in the council.

6. Better to keep quiet if you do not have the facts. Check who during the mayorship of Mudzuri put spanners in the works so that the council could not access water purifiction chemicals? Who gave tenders to his friends so that refuse could not be collected. Answer : Chombo. Saviour continued to frustrate the mayor when he took over. According to these goons an MDC council was not supposed achieve anything good for the ratepayers for obvious reasons. Check your facts.

7. In reality who runs councils? Is it the councillors or council executives? Is it the local government ministry or the local government + councillors + local government officials? In a one party system of governance where party and government are collapsed into one it becomes very hard to be clear who does what and when it comes to accountability the blame game begins. We probably need to depoliticise civic duties and responsibilities in order to improve governance of councils.

8. MDC councils must prove to us the voters in the next 60 to 70 days that they have what it takes to serve the people. They need to point out the areas they have actually improve if there are any .

9. It is very noble and factual. The MDC run councils are actually running down Harare and other cities to ruins . They have been running these councils for long now , surely even with little resources things could be better and only those with little knowledge about the affairs of these councils are blind to see.
   Too many unqualified people are earning way much more than qualified people in the same field in privately run companies.
   How much does a very old and retirement aged woman who is sweeping the streets earn. These old ladies are slow in all the work they do they should give way for young men and women who are rooming the streets and vending.
   How much money do they spend chasing pirate taxis. They just can’t put things in oder. Infact the incoming government must take on all the affairs of all councils until a complete clean up of excess labour force and corrupt elements are removed. I give you thumbs up Mr Mawarire speak the truth and never be ashamed of it.

10. I think on this one he is very correct. MDC has run down city of Harare. From water system to roads. I have said it before and will say it again. City of Harare in 2000 before MDC took over was far better than today.

Your Zanupf took people to towns as a way of neutralising MDC strongholds. These people never paid any cents for the rates. More than 70% of the population of Harare are not paying rates because of your selfish Zanupf. Mawaire you fake man of god. People no long hire for your outdated jokes and tricks on their functions. YOU FOOL, YOU IDIOT.

Pindai imimi tione. Look at the root cause of the problem, not the symptoms. Zanu pf is fighting MDC all over instead of providing clean water. They are deliberately underfunding the present Council so that it will not deliver, so that the residents will not vote the MDC councillors back into office.
