CABINS OF SHAME: Wicknell’s $7 million Gwanda Solar Power Project Site, Parly Exposes Rot

The Parliamentary Portfolio Committee on Mines and Energy has exposed the rot of corruption in the country.

The committee today toured the site of the Gwanda Solar Power Project to assess how the $200 million project was awarded to Wicknell Chivayo’s company Intratek Zimbabwe, has been used. The portfolio committee which is led by Norton legislator, Temba Mliswa, however, discovered only two cabins as well as an incomplete perimeter fence. The cabins are purpor tedly being used to house workers and tools.
