Terrence Mawawa | The Parliamentary Portfolio Committee on Mines and Energy has travelled to Gwanda to inspect the solar system purportedly installed by Wicknell Chivhayo’ s company, Intereck.

Chivhayo is under fire for being awarded a $ 7 million tender by ZESA to implement the solar project.

A visit by the Mines and Energy Parliamentary Portfolio Committee to the Gwanda site has all but confirmed that Chivhayo blew the hefty amount of money he received.

“There is a serious scam.The level of corruption in this country is shocking.We will get to the bottom of the matter very soon,” said Mines and Energy Parliamentary Portfolio Committee Deputy Chairperson, Fani Munengami.
