A clergyman yesterday equated President Emmerson Mnangagwa and his deputy Constantino Chiwenga to biblical characters Joshua and Caleb.

Reverend Muchechetere who was the Director of Ceremonies when Mnangagwa met with church leaders in Harare yesterday said the two political figures would take the nation to the Promised Land.

“Reverend Muchechetere likened Chiwenga and Mnangagwa to
Biblical characters Joshua and Caleb. He said the two would lead the
nation to the Promised Land. I don’t know whether the comparison can be justified,” said one observer.
