A Gutu nurse has appeared in court for allegedly raping his own daughter(15).

Onias Shamu, a nurse at Chinyika Rural Hospital, appeared before Gutu Magistrate Edwin Marecha on Wednesday. He was charged with rape.

Facts were that on February 9 2016, Shamu was at home with his daughter and he took advantage of his wife’ s absence and raped the minor.

“The two slept in one room and during the night, Shamu got out the blankets and began to fondle his daughter’ s breasts. He also kissed her.

He inserted his fingers into the minor’ s private parts and raped her,” the court heard.

Shamu was remanded out of custody.
