*TZ President Jacob Ngarivhume’s address to Congress delegates at Hatfields and Epworth*

I am very excited seeing youths, pastors and those with dreadlocks all coming out toady to here the TZ message. There is so much life in this group. We appreciate the man Mr Saurombe who has worked very hard in this constituency. I appreciate the Council of a elders represented here by gogo Kariwo who have always been praying for TZ.

I have been busy since morning. I have addressed a rally at Mandadzaka in Nikita East. I will speak on two things. Firstly it must be known that TZ was born out of prayer which has become our foundation. God gave us a vision for Zimbabwe by revealing to us the country was both spiritual and physical. Those who control the spiritual realm control things in the physical. So Zimbabwe must come back to God to change for the better.

Zimbabwe has been endowed with natural resources and human capital but its failure has been the failure of leadership. *Gamba harina charinounza* because this is the same man who has been the centre and pivot of all our problems from Gukurahundi to the November 2017 coup.

A leadership that that is disconnected from God can not develop this nation. They have failed to deal with corruption and now they are recycling the same old criminals and thieves like Obert Mpofu.

Secondly, TZ performed very well in the by-elections since 2013. We witnessed firsthand the ZANU PF rigging machinery. We then started to work with other parties in NERA to demand reforms and forced BVR on ZANU PF.

At congress we launch our policy document and Manifesto. We will elect new National Executive members. We will also ratify our position in the MDC Alliance and review progress made so far.

In conclusion, we supported the army to get rid of Mugabe who was our common enemy but that does not make the military intervention legal. We now have the chance to correct this come election time.

I thank you and God bless you.
