By Religion Reporter| Certainly better than Emmanuel Makandiwa and on another note, this could be a reason why Biti should be considered for legal services! – According to Zimbabwean pentecostal standards,  Former Finance Minister Tendai Biti might qualify as a prophet, – the prominent barrister early last year accurately predicted President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s rise to power exactly 10 months before it happened.

The exact date of the below interview was the 23rd March 2017 and Mnangagwa would become President exactly 10 months later.

Speaking during a LIVE discussion moderated by Grace Kwinjeh on ZimEye.com and while commenting on the war veterans’ revolt against Robert Mugabe, Biti said, “Let’s not under estimate what has happened today with the war veterans, let’s not under estimate the war veterans are the people who liberated this country. So for all intents and purposes they have been the epi-centre, the heart of the creature known as ZANU PF. So what has happened slowly in the last 2 years, culminating to today, the war veterans are disowning that which they created. They created a rapture,” said Biti.

He continued saying, “that is why I come back to my point that we are in a transition, because ZANU PF is not the same. When in ZANU PF did you see ministers fighting each other? If you read Jonathan Moyo’s twitter, it’s a pure civil war…we heard what Sarah Mahoka used to say about Lacoste… Mandi Chimene…so they are in absolute war. So that’s why boycotting the election is not an option because ZANU is not the same thing, it has been rapturing and fragmenting since 2013.
