By Simba Chikanza| President Emmerson Mnangagwa is prepared to hand over power to MDC leader Nelson Chamisa, the soldier who announced Robert Mugabe’s removal has said.

Speaking at the London based thinktank Chatham House, Foreign Affairs Minister, Gen Sibusiso Busi Moyo responded to an American citizen who compared Zimbabwe to the US where an unlikely candidate Donald Trump beat down Hillary Clinton.

Moyo responded saying, “President Mnangagwa has emphasised that he will accept any one who wins..

“Political contestation must not override national interest. This is the new thinking…if an opposition candidate is victorious in the elections President Mnangagwa is prepared to accept. Political contestation must not override national interests.

“People can come and go, but the state is more important.”
