By Dorrothy Moyo| Vice President Constantino Chiwenga’s mum in law, Helga Mubaiwa, has been defeated in the just ended Zanu PF primary elections.

She was hoping to become an MP for the Seke constituency.

Helga only managed to get  1018 votes against Munyaradzi Maworesa Kashambe who got 2405 in the elections held on Sunday.

The development saw the Robert-Mugabe-aligned National Patriotic Front party throwing celebrations over the loss. In a Facebook post, NPF claimed that the development means, the “JuntaPF is not liked… it’s very clear! NPF is knocking at the door harder than ever.”
