By Robson  Melassi | It is worrying that communities give value to cattle by branding yet their children do not have birth certificates. The People’s Rainbow Coalition led by its Presidential candidate Dr JTR Mujuru is committed to provide citizens with birth certificates and national identity particulars following political sentiments that the outgoing Zanupf led government is reluctant to give such documentation to communities in Matebeleland region, especially those that were affected by post-independence disturbances. Some argue that most of their children went to South Africa and left their children in the care of their grandparents who are reluctant to get the particulars for their grandchildren. Many points are being raised but one thing remains,that is, most people in the region have no identity particulars, thats a fact! PRC administration will decentralise operations to districts, that is for birth certicificates and national identity documents. It will forever continue with the crusade of encouraging parents to acquire the important registration documents for their children in time as the documentation help them in realising other rights as access to education, legal rights and protection as well as other social services.
