Rahman Gumbo not joining Dynamos

By Paul Nyathi|Dynamos Football Club have refuted media reports that former Highlanders Coach and player Rahman Gumbo will be taking charge of the team’s technical department following the removal of head coach Llyod Mutasa.

Rumours initiated by the Dynamos supporters Facebook page Dembare Dotcom hit headlines in the week claimimg that the highly acclaimed coach will be taking over reigns at the battling Harare giants.

Gumbo, who has won several championships within Zimbabwe and other regional countries is currently employed by the Obert Mpofu owned Zifa Southern Region Division One team Makomo FC.

The highky ambitious side is believed to be paying Gumbo way above what most Premier League clubs are paying their coaches.

He is also an assistant coach to Warriors gaffer Sunday Chidzambwa.

Dynamos secretary Webster Marecherera, dismissed the rumour in a media interview on Friday.

“There is nothing like that,” he said briefly.
