By Farai D Hove| Shocking pictures emerged yesterday  suggesting that the highly respected and prolific war veteran, Cde Victor Mahiya, was cheated on by President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s son-relation, Tongai.

The former COZWA leader Munyatadzi Alexio Shoko reported claiming that all is not well between the Mnangagwa family and Mahiya.

Mahiya is the hero of the struggle to remove former president Robert Mugabe and was the first to be jailed under the former President’s oppressive regime.

The pictures show large billows of fire savagely destroying precious election materials. Other reports said that what in fact happened is that the war veteran was humiliated by Mnangagwa’s son. The bitter feud is not new. The matter has been a major thorn in Harare South over the last few weeks in what has seen loud screams against the head of state as some war veterans made claims that the ZANU PF party leader is intending to establish a family dynasty so that all power rotates inside his house.
