By Talent Gondo| MDC T splinter group president, Dr Thokozani Khupe, is set to hold a star rally in Harare this weekend on Saturday.

The rally, set to be held at Mandela Hall at Harare Show Grounds is Dr Khupe’s first encounter with the party structures in Harare following her breakaway from the Nelson Chamisa led splinter group of the MDC T.

Linda Masarira, who is the party spokesperson described the rally as a meeting for the party’s internal structures where the party leadership are sharing their election manifesto, B.E.S.T.

She said the meeting comes on the backdrop of a successful debut rally held in Bulawayo recently.

“It is critically important to note that we are not yet having rallies.

We are unpacking the manifesto to our provincial structures province by province that is why the event is dubbed ‘Game on B.E.S.T Harare,” said Masarira.

She dismissed as false allegations that her party was small adding that her party prioritised delivery ahead of populism.

“We are not a small party and we are not focusing on populism beyond deliverables,” she said.

“MDC-T led by Dr Thokozani Khuphe is a
realistic party with smart ideas, strategies and plans to take Zimbabwe forward,” added Masarira.
