Temba Mliswa chairing the parliamentary committee meeting snubbed by Mugabe

By Paul Nyathi|Former President Robert Mugabe failed to turn up for a parliamentary grilling on the missing $15 billion diamond revenue set for Wednesday.

Parliamentary Committee Chairperson Temba Mliswa has indicated that the committee has resolved to write to the 94 year old former Head of State to appear before the committee on the 29th of May.

Mugabe was meant to appear before the committee to explain his 2016 assertion that $15 billion was illegally siphoned from the diamond mining.

Initially the parliamentary committee sort to meet Mugabe at his private home in Borrowdale Harare an arrangement which Mugabe declined declaring his home to be a private property and not a parliament building.
