A plot by sponsored ruling party elements to disrupt MDC Alliance candidate Nelson Chamisa’ s rally at Tshovani Stadium has been foiled, it has emerged.

According to the Movement for Democratic Change Masvingo Province Information and Publicity Department, sponsored Zanu PF elements had been planted within supporters of the alliance to demonstrate against alleged imposition of candidates.

“We gathered information about a Zanu PF sponsored demo meant to embarrass our charismatic leader.

All matters of concern are being resolved amicably and we do not need any assistance from Zanu PF as far as our internal issues are concerned,” the party said in a statement.

“We discovered that Zanu PF elements wanted to demonstrate against the provincial leadership in a bid to disrupt the Tshovani Star Rally,” said the party.
