By Paul Nyathi|The MDC Deputy National Spokesperson Mbuso Siso says that he was dismissed from his position because he challenged party President Welshman Ncube’s son as an aspiring council candidate.
Speaking to ZimEye.com in an interview on Tuesday, Siso said that it is not true that he was dismissed for incompetence as alleged by party sources who revealed the issue to ZimEye.com.
“What I know is that we have had an internal fight on how the candidate selection committee held a process of selecting a candidate in a ward that I had applied for and this candidate selection committee was biased as it chose a member of no good standing in the party who is suspected to be a ZANU pf card carrying member and a son to President Professor Welshman Ncube, Nkanyiso Mathonsi,” said Siso.
Siso said that he was never officially communicated to on his dismissal but only got to see the appointment of Oscar Ncube to his position on social media.
“It has came to my surprise that im seeing this memo circulating on social media that the party has appointed Oscar Ncube as the deputy national sec for information and publicity with immediate effect without being advised verbally or in black and white neither have i been invited for any hearing if there are any allegations leveled at me,” he said.
Siso said that when he had failed to strike ground within his party he took the issue to the MDC-T elections office who went on and rejected Mathonsi as a candidate.
According too Siso, Welshman Ncube had already promised his son that he will be seconded as the Deputy Mayor of the City of Bulawayo after winning the council seat.
The highly upset Siso accused his party President of being a dictator and illegitemently running the party.
“It is is time Professor Welshman Ncube is stopped of his dictatorship behaviour that he will practice in the MDC Alliance led by our President Nelson Chamisa who needs good guidance from good leaders which he does not have,” said Siso.
“He is well known causer of the split that we saw happen in 2005 where a lot more leaders where seen dumping him for the MDC T cause his a difficult man to work with who thinks politics revolves around him self all because his a Professor,”
He is on my case for no apparent reason but to claim false using his national standing committee that comprises of his Girlfriends who where also awarded with senator,PR and house of assembly seats,” fumed Siso.
“Who is he in the MDC in the first place as he is an illegal President and his national standing committee he should call for a Congress after his term and national executive expired a year and some months ago.”
