Aspiring MPs Meet Face To Face At Public Debate

Aspiring MPs for Masvingo Urban Constituency will on Thursday meet face to face at a Public Debate, six weeks before the crucial polls.

The Public Debate will be held under the theme What Are The Youth and Women’ s Expectations? Community Tolerance Reconciliation And Development(COTRAD), Tell Zimbabwe News and Centre for Gender and Community Development are the organisers of the debate.

Benjamin Taguma Mazarire(Zanu PF), vibrant independent candidate Sam Chapfudza, MDC Alliance’ s Jacob Nyokanhete and Francis Nyakurita of People’ s Rainbow Coalition are the aspiring candidates who will present their policies at the debate.

Speaking ahead of the debate COTRAD Programmes Manager Zivanai Muzorodzi said: ” Our desire is to create a peaceful environment for the coming elections. All candidates must be given time to express themselves in a democratic society. “
