Controversial Buhera South Constituency MP Joseph Chinotimba is losing ground in the area as he faces stiff competition from a rebellious Zanu PF member, party sources have claimed.

Ngonidzashe Mudekunye, a Zanu PF member who will stand as an independent candidate is preferred to Chinotimba, according to party sources.

“There are serious divisions in Buhera South.The majority of party supporters here are fully behind Mudekunye.

Senior party officials are piling pressure on Mudekunye to withdraw his candidature,” party sources revealed yesterday.

However party members aligned to Chinotimba have dismissed the claims as baseless.
