Zimbabwe Electoral Commision- ZEC has officially filed a notice of appeal against the High Court judgement handed down by Justice Chitapi compelling them (ZEC) to avail the provisional Voters’ Roll used for inspection, citing infringement on their constitutionally guaranteed independence.

ZEC has argued that Section 21(3) of the the electoral act does not provide for a provisional voters’ roll and as such the court order cannot be fulfilled.
