Zanu PF activists in Zvishavane are demanding tenders from Mimosa Mining Company under the guise of being members of Zvishavane Small to Medium Enterprises.

Sources at Mimosa Mining Company have revealed senior employees are under relentless pressure from the Zanu PF activists who are demanding tenders in spite of the fact that they do not qualify for the contracts.

The Zanu PF activists are calling for the dismissal of Mimosa Mining Managing Director Farai Makoni.

“Zanu PF activists are demanding tenders although they do not qualify for the contracts.

They are planning to demonstrate against the company management. Their actions are jeopardising operations,” sources at the company said at the weekend.

Bigboy Murenge, the secretary general of Small to Medium Enterprises Zvishavane however said the organisation was fighting for the rights of informal traders in the area.
