The City won the following prizes at the 2018 Local Government Megafest Awards held recently.

• Fire, Rescue and Ambulances of the year Category
• Best Urban Local Authority Category
• Public Lighting of the year Category
• Outstanding Local Authority Urban

• Water Production and Management Category, 1st Runner Up
• Social Amenities, Sports Facilities and Community Spaces Category, 1st Runner Up
• Sewerage Removal and Treatment Category, 2nd Runner Up
