By Own Correspondent| Independent legislator for Norton, Temba Mliswa has claimed that MDC Alliance leader Nelson Chamisa needs psychiatric help following last weekend’s announcement that the party was planning an inauguration ceremony for Chamisa this weekend.
Addressing the media in Harare (Tuesday), Mliswa told Chamisa to build his party after he garnered 44 per cent of the votes despite contesting for the first time in the July 30 elections.
Mliswa said:
“He is breaking the law, and if he is arrested let’s not say that …i will urge the law enforcement agents to protect because that is a national security threat that’s the truth of the matter. Let’s not be excited, let’s not be excitable.
And I understand when one loses, certainly, you go through a phase and some require psychiatric attention. It’s not easy, and I mean that there is a depression that one goes through and that depression needs help. He needs help from a psychiatric point of view. Chamisa certainly needs help. It’s sad that he cannot build from the percentage he got which is good for a first timer. Instead of finding allies and say Mliswa can you be my political commissar in the next election.”
