Terrence Mawawa|One person has succumbed to the deadly cholera epidemic in the ancient city of Masvingo, a senior medical doctor has revealed.

Masvingo Provincial Medical Director, Amadeus Shamu said the person had been admitted at Masvingo Provincial Hospital after complaining of stomach problems and diarrhoea.

“I can confirm that one person has died of cholera. According to our investigations the deceased person contracted the disease in Harare.

Frantic efforts were made to save the person’ s life.Those who are suffering from diarrhoea and stomach disorders must immediately seek medical attention,” said Shamu.
