Terrence Mawawa| A Chitungwiza man has been arrested for allegedly bashing his 12-year-old son to death
for stealing $20 that he had left in the house.
Sheperd Mushurwa (38) appeared before Chitungwiza Magistrate Mrs Josephine Sande facing murder charges last week.
The court heard that on August 31 around 8pm, Mushurwa discovered that his $20 was missing from the
bedroom where he had placed it.
He then called his first born Prince and asked him about the money and he said he had not seen it. He asked Prince to call his other brother, Prosper, who was attending a church service.
Upon arrival at the house, Mushurwa
questioned Prosper about the money and he confessed that he had t
aken the money and had already used it.
In a fit of rage, the man then began to assault his son.Mushurwa was remanded in custody to September 18.
