Controversial socialite and businessman Genius “Ginimbi” Kadungure was today arrested by Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) detectives on his way from Rotten Row courts.

The incident happened in the afternoon.

Ginimbi was arrested within hours of his colleague, Wicknel Chivayo also being arrested later for a different offence.

The Senior police spokesman assistant commissioner Paul Nyathi told the state-owned media Ginimbi was arrested in connection to tax evasion where he is alleged to have prejudiced the state of US$22 million.

Kadungure is set to appear in court tomorrow.
