By Own Correspondent| Mother to former Zanu PF stalwart and Mashonaland East Provincial Chairperson Ray Kaukonde, has died.

She died in London, UK early Tuesday morning, aged 86.

She had eight children and four adopted ones including Kaukonde.

In an interview with ZimEye, Kaukonde’s sister, Pastor Morejoy Saineti confirmed the development.

“Great woman who has left us at 0445hours,” she said.

She told ZimEye that Kaukonde wants her flown back for burial in Zimbabwe.
