Terrence Mawawa| An American journalist who attacked the MDC A may not be in touch the reality in the country, political observers have said.

The US journalist, MSNBC anchor Chris Matthews, accused the MDC A of engaging in what he termed “tribal politics.”

A state run daily paper celebrated Matthews’ views claiming they signalled a shift from previously held positions.

“I was reading about Zimbabwe today, and I’ve been to Zimbabwe.
I know it’s a young country with all kinds of problems … and trying to figure things out, ” said Matthews.

He further said the opposition should desist from primitive political tactics.
