A man has died after reportedly falling from a high-rise building near the Barbican arts centre in London.
Police were called at lunchtime and say they found a man who appeared to have fallen from a height.
The man, who has not yet been identified, was confirmed dead at the scene.
Forensic teams were at the scene throughout the afternoon and a police cordon was put in place.
A spokeswoman for City of London Police told the Mirror: “Police were called by London Ambulance Service paramedics to Frobisher Crescent, where a man was found with significant injuries having appeared to have fallen from a height.
“The man was sadly confirmed deceased at the scene.”
Officers are currently investigating the circumstances of this incident.
A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at 1.29pm today (4 January) to reports of a person having fallen from height outside the Barbican Centre.
“We sent a number of resources including an ambulance crew, a paramedic in a car, a motorcycle paramedic and an incident response officer, and also dispatched London’s Air Ambulance.
“Sadly a man was pronounced dead at the scene.”
A Twitter user said: “Thoughts are with whoever has been affected by the incident at the Barbican today.”
