By Paul Nyathi|Citizen Protestors in the City of Bulawayo have taken over control of the Central Business District in a protest against President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s failing governance.

What started off like another calm day in the City of Bulawayo quickly turned volatile when a group of protestors gathered at Magetsini Bus Stop in Emakhandeni High Density suburb and ordered people going to work out of the taxis.

The taxis were quickly hijacked by the protestors who stormed the CBD singing “Mnangagwa int’oyenzayo siyazonda” meaning “Mnangagwa we hate what you are doing.”

“Protestors have officially invaded the CBD as of a few minutes ago and they are attacking all opened shops and businesses telling people to move out and go back home,” said a ZimEye.com witness at the scene.

Meanwhile, police have responded by firing shots of teargas as a warning to the protestors. The number of protesting citizens is growing as more shops close for business.

Schools have also begun sending children back home in fear that the protests may generate to full scale riots that may affect the children. Some teachers have been seen immediately joining the protestors.
