By Own Correspondent|First lady Auxilia Mnangagwa offered her condolences to the late Oliver Mtukudzi’s family appreciating how the late icon’s music inspired Zimbabweans to freedom.

Amai Mnangagwa, who for the past two weeks was in a sabatical as soldiers unleashed violence against women and children following last week’s protest said Mtukudzi’ s musis was an inspiration not only for Zimbabweans but for generations to come.

She said:

Today, I paid my respects to the family of Zimbabwean national hero, Oliver Mtukudzi. His music has been an integral part of our lives. It inspired our people to freedom and I have no doubt it will continue to influence generations to come across our continent and beyond.

May he rest in peace, and I pray that Daisy and her family find comfort in the outpouring of love she is receiving from the people of Zimbabwe and beyond.

Amai Mnangagwa was in the company of Vice president Constantino Guvheya Dominic Chiwenga’s wife Mary among other senior government officials.
