“Baba Jukwa” Freed On $100 Bail With No Reporting Conditions

By Own Correspondent| Former Sunday Mail editor who has in the past been hauled by the state being accused of penning damning articles under the pseudo name Baba Jukwa has been granted $100 bail.

Edmund Kudzayi, was on Friday arrested for carrying a camouflage umbrella and detained at Borrowdale police station before appearing before a Harare magistrate Edwin Marecha today (Saturday).

He was remanded out of custody to March 8 2019 with no reporting conditions

Kudzayi, was charged with contravening section 32 of the Criminal Law (Codification and Reform) Act after he was found with a camouflage umbrella.

He was represented by Obey Shava of Zimbabwe Lawyers for Human Rights.
