Paul Nyathi| The Zimbabwe senior national soccer team “The Warriors” have come out on fire against Congo Braazaville taking a comfortable two nil lead going into half time.

The warriors lead through beautifully executed goals by the “usual suspects” Khama Billiat and Knowledge Musona.

Billiat got the forty plus thousand Zimbabweans at the National Sports Stadium and millions watching on television around the country into song with a beautifully executed set piece outside the penalty box midday into the first half.

More had to come ten minutes later, when Musona pounced powerfully on a loose ball after a defensive mix up by the Congolese defence to double the lead.

The Warriors need at least a draw to qualify for the finals in Egypt later this year.

The team which is playing with black arm bands to mourn the victims of the killer cyclone Idai have declared that they will win the match for the hundreds of the perished Zimbabweans.

More to follow as the match continues…..
