By Own Correspondent- A member of the Apostolic sect appeared before a Mutare magistrate facing three counts of indecent assault and one count of aggravated indecent assault.

The 39-year-old man allegedly fondled his Grade 7 daughter’s breast and thrust his finger into her privates while conducting a virginity test.

The man died all allegations before Magistrate Lazarus Murendo who remanded him in custody to April 12.

According to the State, the man sneaked into the complainant’s bedroom on an unknown date in 2018 and fondled her daughter’s breasts, claiming that he was helping her.

This abuse happened several times and only came to light on March 26 this year when he attempted to do it again while his wife was around.

The girl screamed and this woke up her mother who quizzed the girl. She then spilt the beans on what was happening and further revealed that at one point, her father had slipped his finger into her privates.-Newsday
