Own Correspondent|The on-going MDC Masvingo Province Congress is set to be the first to produce a major shock nomination and probably end in a chaos.

Highly placed sources at the congress which is currently in process indicate that the meeting is highly volatile with tension that may turn violent as the provincial executive led by James Gumbi intends to nominate Engineer Elias Mudzuri for party President against Nelson Chamisa.

The radical James Gumbi-led executive which has always clashed with Chamisa was nominated by most districts unopposed and returned into office.

The sources claimed that, the executive was ready to nominate Secretary General Douglas Mwonzora who since pulled out of the race leaving the executive to throw in Mudzuri in his place.

Another faction in the party led by Tongai Matutu is understood to have been readying itself to fight Mudzuri’s nomination.

Informed sources said that the risk of violence is very high as youth are being given beer in order to prepare for fights.
