Jane Mlambo| cabinet minister, Energy Mutodi has demanded that government re-introduces price controls as a way of cushioning the poor from business people.

Mutodi who is no stranger to controversy since his appointment as deputy minister of information, media and broadcasting services argued that Zimbabwe without a currency of its own, price controls were the only way to protect the people.

Price controls have never been an effective way of controlling business operations with the move resulting in massive shortage of basic commodities when it was implemented in 2008-9.
