Gvt To Monitor Situation In Disaster Prone Areas

Farai Dziva|The government will monitor the situation closely in disaster prone zones following reports that Cyclone Kenneth will hit neighbouring countries.
In a statement, an official in the Ministy of Information said the government was on high alert to avert disaster.
“Disaster prone areas of Mbire, Muzarabani, Mt Darwin, Nyanga, low lying areas of Masvingo Province, Chimanimani, Chipinge, Mutoko, Mudzi and Gokwe North are advised to be on high alert.
Meteorological Department and Civil Protection will monitor situation every 3 hours,” said Nick Mangwana.
