By Own Correspondent| President Emmerson Mnangagwa has hired a private plane for former president Robert Mugabe for flying to Malaysia .

Information gathered by ZimEye revealed that Mugabe flew out yesterday afternoon to the Asian country to seek medical treatment.

Although the flight tracking data was obfuscated in the database, ZimEye managed to get the details from a secondary record cache.

The costs of the chartered aircraft however was not known at the time of writing. The move to hire the plane is part of an arrangement by Mnangagwa where he pledged to take care of Mugabe as part of his exit package from the presidency.

Mnangagwa is on record saying that “Mugabe is well taken care of” and that the former leader deserved everyone’s respect for his role in liberating Zimbabwe.
