By Own Correspondent| The Passengers Association of Zimbabwe (PAZ) has impored government to invest in passengers safety arguing that the government run ZUPCO buses are the preferred choice for the majority of the commuting public because they are affordable.

Tafadzwa Goliath, President of the PAZ said:

“The commuting public is preferring to travel on affordable ZUPCO buses. Prior to their introduction most were spending 35% of their salaries on transport.

However, we note that some of these buses do not have passenger liability cover. They must comply, after all, other operators are arrested for not having passenger liability cover.

ZUPCO must prioritize passenger safety first. They are overloading and picking up people from undesignated points.”
