By Emmerson Mnangagwa|Today’s launch of the Procurement Regulatory Authority (PRAZ) is another step in our battle against corruption. I challenge PRAZ to ensure a modern, transparent and cost-effective procurement system that boosts public confidence and facilitates the implementation of government programmes and projects.
For too long, the procurement process has been beset by malpractice and corruption. This must stop. My government will not tolerate criminal and greedy tendencies. All practitioners must forsake the old ways of doing things, which have held us back as a nation.
As we rebuild and reform our economy, our procurement procedures will be characterised by the highest standards of integrity. Let us embrace a new culture to ensure sustainable economic growth leading to improved living standards for all Zimbabweans.
