Newly elected MDC Youth Assembly leadership today paid a visit to the unjustifiably convicted MDC activists incarcerated at Harare Central Prison.

The maverick Youth Assembly leadership led by Chairman Obey Sithole, Vice Chair Cecelia Chimbiri, Secretary General Gift Siziba, Spokesperson Stephen Sarkozy Chuma, Deputy Spokesperson Womberai Nhende, Harare East Chair Prince Mutebuka and outgoing Secretary for International Relations Arthur Masiyiwa took time off their busy schedule to visit the four MDC activists.

The incarcerated Kadoma activists are Mathew Rwakonda, Clr Michael Gore, Pedzisai Mugoni & Tinashe Kaitano were in jovial mood but complained about the nervous prison conditions.

Clr Gore complained about chest pain which he said was a result of tuberculosis infection he contacted from what he termed a “concentration camp”.

They also lamented about food shortages, filthy prison cells and ill treatment by some of the prison wardens.
