By Talent Gondo- Government has okayed the establishment of gold service centres in a move expected to increase gold inflows to Fidelity Printers.

Addressing the media following a cabinet meeting in Harare today, Information minister Monica Mutsvangwa said government had received and approved the establishment of the gold services centres as a way of bringing closer to the miners gold buying services.

Said Mutsvangwa:

“… these centres will be in Silobela (Midlands) Mt Darwin, Shamva (Mashonaland Central) and Penhalonga (Manicaland).

The gold services centers will be operational by 1st October. Fidelity printers will provide the initial capital for the establishment of these gold buying centres.

Fidelity printers will also fund capacitation of miners and it is hoped that this will improve and better their mining methods.”
