Farai Dziva|Zimbabwe Warriors Captain, Knowledge Musona has said the national soccer team players will not boycott the 2019 Africa Cup Of Nations fixtures.

The Warriors had threatened to boycott the AFCON opening match against hosts Egypt as ZIFA had reportedly not paid them their US$9 000 each.

ZIFA officials were saying they had paid the money on Wednesday and produced bank transfer receipts as confirmation, but, the players insisted nothing had reflected in their bank accounts.

Musona promised the nation that the Warriors will fulfil the fixture.

“We are glad that our issues have been dealt with in this meeting and we have received the commitment that our dues will be dealt with and we can promise you that we will play the match against Egypt.

It’s sad that instead of us concentrating on the match we have spent a lot of time trying to deal with these issues but we can promise you that we will give it our best.”
