Sikhala was allegedly blindfolded as he was being transported from Harare to Bikita.

Sikhala was remanded in custody for the next two weeks on allegations that he told party supporters in Bikita that the opposition was planning to remove Emmerson Mnangagwa before the scheduled elections in 2023.
