Victims of Friday Demonstrations Handed To Zanu PF Youths: Human Rights Group

Jane Mlambo| A local human rights lobby group Zimbabwe Human Rights NGO Forum has claimed that the opposition activists who were arrested on Friday during demonstrations in Harare were handed over to Zanu PF youths who tortured them amid fears some are still missing.

Posting on Twitter yesterday NGO Forum revealed that those who were arrested were taken to the Zanu PF provincial offices at Fourth street.

“Victims of police brutality from #August16 protests report that they were handed over to ZANU PF youths at the ZANU PF Office in 4th Street where they were tortured. Others are feared to have been disappeared,” said the organisation.
