Jane Mlambo|Following the gazetting of an announcement by the Zimbabwe Gender Commission that they are investigating Prophetic Healing and Deliverance founder Walter Magaya, will the popular but scandalous prophet pay the entire commission to cover his alleged crimes.

The Zimbabwe Gender Commission announced that they had instituted an investigation against Magaya who faces countless cases of sexual abuse.

“It is hereby notified that, in terms of Section Five of the Zimbabwe Gender Commission Act (Chapter 10:31) the Zimbabwe Gender Commission intends to investigate complaints of se_xual abuse of women by Walter Magaya of Prophetic Healing and Deliverance Ministries,” read the notice by Mrs Mukahanana-Sangarwe.

Magaya’s alleged sexual abuse victims have come out in the public before apologizing to the powerful prophet amid indications that they would have been paid to retract their revelations.

With the gender commission now in the map, it remains to be seen how he will negotiate his way past the influential body considering that it is composed of respected figures some of whom possess strong beliefs in the empowerment and emancipation of women.
