Jane Mlambo| Mugabe family spokesperson Leo Mugabe has announced that the body of the late former President Robert Mugabe will be taken to Zvimba on Sunday for the people from there to have an opportunity to pay their last respects.

Leo Mugabe told a media briefing at the Blue Roof that the Zvimba chiefs have inspected the late iconic leader’s grave at the National Heroes Acre and concluded that it will take at least 30 days to prepare.

Mugabe’s burial place has been a subject of dispute between government and the family.

Mugabe is believed to have intimated his desire to be buried at his Zvimba home next to his mother saying he does not want his funeral programme to be presided over by his successor, President Emmerson Mnangagwa.
