The MDC Youth Assembly would like to state it categorically without fear of contradictions that Mr Mwonzora and Mr Morgen Komichi have automatically lost their positions in the MDC after deciding to join Thokozani Khuphe’s Zanu PF project.

The two know very well that they cannot speak on behalf of the party when there are organs responsible for that.

They went on without the people’s mandate to tarnish the image of the party by addressing members of the media and announcing some imaginary standing committee leadership outside that of the 2019 elected leaders.

Our President is Advocate Nelson Chamisa

This behavior amounts to indiscipline and we as the Youth assembly have the moral and political responsibility to defend our movement from such captured elements.

While due process is being taken, MDC members should not interact or communicate with these sellouts and modern day Morison Nyathi’s of the Zimbabwean struggle.

The duo is therefore barred from visiting and meeting our party structures and entry at any of our offices including our Headquarters Morgan Richard Tsvangirai House.

We wish to reiterate that the captured judiciary cannot purport to give us a leadership. Our party’s leadership comes from the people and we held our Congress in May 2019, which elected President Nelson Chamisa and the rest of the people’s leadership.
