The MDC STUDENTS COUNCIL is greatly disturbed by the disappearance of three female youth assembly leaders, Vice Chairperson Cecelia Chimbiri, Secretary for Policy and Research Hon Joanna Mamombe and our Deputy organizer Netsai Marova who is also our former Students Council Deputy Organizer

We demand for the immediate and unconditional release of these three who were abducted at a road block by ZANU PF’s agents of oppression while exercising their rights to demonstrate against the shenanigans of the regime and effects of the lockdown such as hunger and poverty in Zimbabwe.

Their only crime is expressing themselves and the response by the government is a clear indication that it has no answer to our bitter cries. It is abundantly clear that the illegitimate government continues declaring war on us and we cannot take it anymore.

These actions by the clueless and ruthless regime of abducting members of the opposition and torturing them are not going to deter us from demanding for the Zimbabwe we want. As Students we say enough is enough, we will not be silenced until they abduct us all!

Our message to the illegitimate government is clear. The period of oppression is over, the misery it has caused in citizens is enough. It’s time for resistance and we are not retreating.
