SA’s COVID 19 Positive Cases Soar

COVID-19 cases in South Africa in the last 24 hours have jumped by 831 cases to 14 355, SABC News reports. 261 people have so far died in South Africa since the outbreak of the pandemic.

According to SABC:

South Africa’s total number of positive COVID- -19 cases has risen by 831 to 14 355. In the last 24 hours, coronavirus related fatalities have gone up by 4 bringing the total number to 261. 439 559 tests have been conducted so far. 18 004 of those were done in the last 24 hours.

Meanwhile, 310 000 people have died from the pandemic worldwide, while 4.6 million people have been infected by the deadly virus.
